Brief Overview
In June and July 2021, Stories Through the Ages provided weekly read-aloud storytelling sessions for interested children in the USA. There were two separate reading skill levels: Kinder/1st and 2nd/3rd. The book selections for each group were predetermined to allow parents to evaluate the appropriateness of each book.

Program
Format
The stories featured included timeless classics, often including illustrations to not only develop a child’s reading ability but also their imaginations. These sessions were held via a Zoom conference (timings below). All seniors participating as volunteers will have completed a criminal background check to ensure appropriate conduct.
Population Served
The population served in this project: young school children who can be inspired to cultivate their love for reading and senior citizens who can connect with the next generation.
