Brief Overview
In our Summer 2022 project, Stories Through the Ages offers free outside-of-school tutoring to underprivileged children in India. Children of ages 7+ come to learn and strengthen their skills in all school subjects, such as Hindi, English, Social Studies, Math, Science, and more.

Program
Developing Young Minds tutors schoolchildren for free outside of school so they can become proficient scholars in school. Children come every day to the house of our volunteer tutor, Shashi Prabha, who resides in Sector 40 of Chandigarh, India. They then learn their desired subjects for two hours before getting to go back home and play. Prabha uses donated school materials, the children’s school materials, and published books of her own.
Population Served
The population served in this project is one in imperative need: underprivileged children who come from uneducated families. They often do not have the wisdom or guidance of their parents to assist them in their studies, which is why Stories Through the Ages is stepping in to help assist.
