STTA: Chandigarh
Global Stories
stay connected
Brief Overview
Stories Through the Ages’ Global Stories project was launched to help provide interactive storytelling to underprivileged children in India, those who lost all access to education when schools closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our volunteer, Shashi Prabha, gathered children at her home in Chandigarh to help provide our services.

Challenges
One challenge we faced when trying to implement this project was the technological barrier. It was difficult to conduct live Zoom sessions because of a lack of devices and strong internet connection. Because of this, we opted to record videos of volunteers reading and telling stories with zest and interactivity. This was our first such project using recorded videos.
Population Served
The population served in this project is one in imperative need: underprivileged children who come from uneducated families. They often do not have the wisdom or guidance of their parents to assist them in their studies, which is why Stories Through the Ages is stepping in to help assist.
